INDCAR has delivered the 3 first units CYTIOS for TMB (Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona). The project is comprised of a total of 25 units that are going to be incorporated progressively to the different lines of the company of Barcelona, TMB. This company negotiates the global urban transportation of the city. The minibus CYTIOS is counts with a capacity of 18 passengers plus driver; 13 of these passengers seated and a place for disabled people. Is a matter of a new model of bus, exclusive and pioneer in the sector, by its measures (6,88 meters long for 2,14 meters wide); being provided besides a low platform in the previous zone of the vehicle (low entry system). The units have been manufactured on frame Mercedes – Benz Sprinter 515, in their version Euro IV. The structure of the vehicle is in aluminium with the rear part of polyester and non-skid floor, which permits the users to be displaced for the interior with security. The CYTIOS is also provided with air conditioning and luminous indicators of stop and requested ramp. The new CYTIOS is gifted of important and differentiated facilities for the people of mobility reduced: have a single step of entrance in the door passage instead of three, as have the other vehicles of the fleet TMB. It is this suppression of unevenness in the zone of access to the vehicle what does them unique, and still more comfortable, not only for disabled people, but also for all the users. Moreover it has a telescopic ramp that facilitates the access of wheelchairs and that substitutes the lift. The new CYTIOS of INDCAR include a space reserved for the wheelchair with anchorage, special back-up, belt and bars of backup to the manoeuvrability, warning elements with strong contrast of colours and adequate measures for its reading to distance, 5 push-buttons of requested stop situated to different heights and with a tactile signposting for blind people and a seat reserved for people that need a special attention. By their measures and their adaptability is the ideal vehicle for urban helmets of reduced dimensions, for large and small cities. Barcelona has bet again by INDCAR, coachbuilder leader in its sector, betting on the quality of its products and its notable technical service. The act of presentation of the new fleet of mini-buses of TMB took place in of the zone of Trinitat Vella and was presided by the second Major of Barcelona, Mr. Ricard Gomà. They were also present personalities of the sector as Mrs. Assumpta Escarp (President of TMB), Mr. Dídac Pestaña (Executive vice President of TMB), Mr. Ignasi Armengol (Director of Buses of TMB), Mrs. Gemma Munbrú (Regidora of the District of Sant Andreu) and as a representative of INDCAR, their Commercial Director, Mr. Josep Riumalló.
